North American Urban Wood Directory Entries Sought

The Full Circle Urban Forest Network (FCUFN) is compiling a North American Urban Wood Utilization Resource Guide. The guide will include listings of national, state and municipal web sites that can help connect custom woodworkers with local sawyers who mill logs from landscape and community trees into lumber and slabs.

In addition to being posted online, the directory will be distributed at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF), where the FCUFN is organizing a special 90-minute seminar: “Urban Wood Utilization: Making Wood Products and Profits from Landscape Trees.” The 90-minute session is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Interested parties are invited to submit links to resourceful urban wood websites for consideration inclusion in the guide. These include state small scale and portable sawmills, state and municipal urban wood exchanges, etc.
