The Illinois Arborist Association (IAA) will offer 4 continuing education units (CEUs) to members who attend the Bringing the Urban Forest Full Circle Conference, Friday, March 18 at Hamburger University in Oak Brook, IL.
The IAA has come on board as a Partner Sponsor of the conference focused on how to reduce the number of trees going into the waste stream by converting them into lumber and wood products. Among the dozen presentations scheduled for the conference include “Reclaiming Diminished Trees for Urban Wood,” “Commercial Tree Care & Urban Wood” and “Closing the Loop on Urban Wood Utilization.”
The full-day program will also include a portable sawmill demonstration, an Urban Wood Products Showcase, tabletop exhibits and plenty of opportunities to network with fellow arborists, sawyers, foresters, woodworkers and more..
As a Partner Sponsor, IAA will also host a tabletop display.
The IAA is a local chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). The ISA develops, maintains and promotes professional standards for arborists, including a code of ethics. In addition, the ISA also provides a framework for certifying arborist professionals in several categories including utility specialists, climbing specialists and master arborist.
